Guided Tours

We offer guided tours of our archive to interested groups. These tours illustrate the eventful history of the archive and use selected documents and images to provide an insight into a thematic focus of your choice. Guided tours usually last 1.5 hours and are free of charge. Donations are welcome.

Guided tours for groups by appointment on the following topics

  • Marthe Gosteli, the archive and the Swiss women's movements

On this tour, we tell the story of how the Gosteli Archive was set up, of Marthe Gosteli's commitment to women's rights and we give an insight into the history of Swiss women's movements.

  • The fight for political rights

This tour focuses on how women in Switzerland fought for the right to vote for almost a hundred years.

  • Travelling women (From march 2025)

For a long time it was unusual for women to travel – but this did not stop them from dreaming about it and some actually did: to meet like-minded people, to study, to work and to taste freedom. We follow their trail around the globe.
