Researching
All interested parties are welcome to visit the Gosteli Archive. We will be happy to advise you personally in our archive by appointment. If you would like to send us a preliminary enquiry, we will inform you of the results of our research as soon as possible.
Working with our archive holdings
Desks are available for your work in the archive. A photocopier, a scanner and Wi-Fi can also be used. You will find detailed information on our user regulations under Access.
Our archives can be searched in the online catalogue Anton. Holdings that have already been catalogued can be ordered so that we can get them ready for when you visit. You can find instructions in the video tutorial below. Some photos and posters have already been digitised or we can create digital copies for you.
Searching other archive holdings
In collaboration with the Archives Contestataires, we compiled an overview of archival holdings regarding women’s history in the French-speaking part of Switzerland.
It may also be worth searching in archives online (this catalogue includes numerous archives in Switzerland) or in the European meta-catalogue Archives Portal Europe.
Books
In our open access library, you will find books in our range of subject areas. The holdings are indexed in the library catalogue Swisscovery.
Newspapers and magazines
On our premises you have access to the online media database Swissdox. This database allows you to search more than 500 sources: regional, national and international daily, weekly and Sunday newspapers, trade journals, magazines, news agencies, online sources, radio and TV programmes as well as online publications.
