Access
Whether you are a researcher, inquisitive or simply curious, everyone is welcome to visit our archive. Apart from a few exceptions, our archive records are not subject to non-disclosure and can be viewed freely. A request for access can be made for holdings that are subject closure period.
Looking at sources
Itβs possible to start your research in our online catalogue before your visit to the archive. You can pre-order all catalogued items so that they are ready when you visit. Our library can also be searched online. You can find more information about research here: Researching.
Copying, taking photographs, scanning
Taking pictures of archive materials with your own device (camera, mobile phone) is permitted for personal use if no flash is used and the originals are not damaged. We provide a scan tent to make the process of taking pictures easier. You can make photocopies of printed matter yourself after we have provided you with guidance. High-resolution digital copies can be ordered from the archive staff.
Tariffs
CHF 0.40 per photocopy, made by the user, scans are free of charge.
CHF 15 per high-resolution digital copy, produced by the archive staff, plus a processing fee of CHF 20 per order.
